Sustainability

EC Commitment

EC is committed to achieving a high level of environmental care while undertaking our business operations and aims for continuous improvement of issues relating to sustainability and environmental management.

This is not simply a tick-box exercise for us. At EC we have transformed our operations, our products and our policies to ensure that sustainability is a key driver for our entire organisation.

We are committed to minimising our environmental impact through the active monitoring and management of our gas, electricity, and water usage. In addition, we systematically track our waste output, with a strong focus on landfill diversion and recycling initiatives. These ongoing efforts support our goal of improving operational efficiency while enhancing our overall environmental performance.

Becoming a truly sustainable business is a long road, but we’re certainly on it. While we are a company with a strong heritage, we have no interest in living in the past.

ECS Certification

Our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.

As part of this journey, five of our products — Andes Peak, Bahamas, Bordeaux and Hause — are ECS Level 4+ Certified, which is the highest recognition under the Environmental Certification Scheme.

The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) recognises ECS, and our ECS 4+ accredited carpets contribute 12 Responsible Product Value (RPV) points towards Green Star.

This milestone reflects more than the performance of a single product. It represents our broader vision: designing carpets that not only elevate comfort and style but also meet the highest environmental standards.

We are working to extend this certification across more of our products, ensuring sustainability, comfort, and design remain central to every choice we offer.
